When booking a consultation with Little Bird Lactation, the Client agrees to these Terms of Service:
In these Terms of Service 'we', 'us' and 'our' refers to "Little Bird Lactation".
“Client” means any person or entity engaging Little Bird Lactation for their services as discussed in these Terms of Service.
General

The Client will disclose any medical conditions that their child or Breastfeeding Parent has to Little Bird Lactation

The Client will not disclose any of the information they receive from Little Bird Lactation to a third party, without Little Bird Lactation’s prior permission.

Kate Barry is a Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (registration: L-306000) and New Zealand Registered Nurse ( Registration: 187947)

Nothing in these terms and conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Client Acknowledgement

The information provided in the client intake questionnaire is as accurate as possible the Client’s knowledge.

If the Client or Client’s child has a medical condition this must be disclosed prior to a care plan being given.

The Client acknowledges it is the Client’s responsibility to follow up with any actual or potential medical issues with the appropriate health care professional as advised by Little Bird Lactation. Referrals can be offered to your GP or Paediatrician when required.

The Client acknowledges that Little Bird Lactation will not be responsible nor liable in any event of injury or adverse events occurring when following a care plan. The client is responsible for the safety and health of their child at all times.

The website may contain links to other websites that are owned and operated by third party vendors and other third parties (the "External Sites"). You acknowledge that Little Bird Lactation is not responsible for the availability of, or the content located on or through, any External Site. You should contact the website administrator or Webmaster for those External Sites if you have any concerns regarding such links or the content located on such External Sites.
Payment

Full payment for all packages and follow-up support is required prior to consultation starting. Once payment is received in full the Client will receive acknowledgment of payment by Little Bird Lactation. Consultations will be confirmed once payment has been made.

Little Bird Lactation reserves the right to alter prices at any time for any reason.

A care plan will not be issued or a consultation will not take place with outstanding invoices remaining. Little Bird Lactation reserves the right to cancel a consultation if there is an outstanding balance owing at the time of the scheduled consultation.

Any outstanding debt to Little Bird Lactation will be referred to debt collection agencies.

Payment is to be made in full via the website, using a secure Stripe payment system.
Cancellations
-
Cancellations made more than 5 working days prior to a consultation will receive a full refund, less transaction fees.

Cancellations made less than 5 working days prior to a consultation will receive a 50% refund, less transaction fees.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the proposed consultation endures no refund for change of mind. In the occurrence of sickness or critical events, Little Bird Lactation can reschedule the consultation and cater accordingly.

Once the feeding plan has been received or a consultation has taken place, there will be no refund offered for change of mind.

If a support package is postponed for reasons agreed up by the Client and Little Bird Lactation they forfeit the eligibility for a refund as above, from the rescheduled support start date (unless medically unwell).

If a support package is cancelled due to medical reasons and the Client has received the feeding plan they will be refunded 50% of the package cost.

Little Bird Lactation reserves the right to cancel any package prior to the commencement of the home or phone consultation if they deem the package inappropriate for the Client. An alternative package may be suggested and the price difference refunded or the full amount refunded if Little Bird Lactation or the Client chooses to forfeit the service engaged.
Follow-up support

A fair use policy applies with respect to text message support. Texts will be answered between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

One week of follow-up support consists of text or email support as initiated by the client. Phone calls can be arranged if required at the discretion of Little Bird Lactation (excluding Sundays).
Conditions of a Care Plan

Individual results may vary and results depend on many matters; including but not limited to, consistency, commitment, personal matters, approach to technique, technique or method, child’s needs, child’s age, severity of situation, following the plan correctly, communication to Little Bird Lactation and the parents’ desire for change.

A refund is not offered in the event of the client feeling dissatisfied and the client understands that by embarking the plan that this is a risk taken.

Little Bird Lactation is obligated to keep up to date with current information, research and knowledge surrounding infant feeding.

I understand that my customised care plan is meant for my child and I only, and should not be shared with a third party, I acknowledge the information might not be suitable for another child.

Any changes I make relating to my feeding and breast care arrangements are my decision and Little Bird Lactation will only make suggestions for change, of which I am responsible for choosing to implement.

It is my responsibility to contact Little Bird Lactation for my follow up

Upon purchase of a package I am agreeing to these terms and conditions and privacy policy as outlined.
In-Home Support
-
Kate, Lactation Consultant is an allied health care provider and responsible for evaluating and recommending a care plan to resolve or improve breastfeeding issues.

A lactation home visit includes a detailed history of mother/infant, an assessment of maternal/infant anatomy, observation of a feed for evaluation of technique and effectiveness of feeding, and recommendations for management to improve and/or resolve breastfeeding related issues.

All clients are provided with a written care plan to improve breastfeeding concerns within 48 hours of home visit.

Resolution of a breastfeeding problem often takes several days or weeks and may require a change in the original recommended care plan at some point. The client is responsible for informing the lactation consultant of changes they feel are necessary in the care plan at the time of the visit or during the course of follow-up communications.

The Client is responsible for informing Kate who will be in the home during the in-home support and their relationship to the Client. If Kate arrives at the home and does not feel it is appropriate or safe to enter the home, the in-home consultation will be rescheduled if Kate deems it safe to do so.

If at any time during the in-home consultation Kate doesn't feel it is appropriate to stay due to safety concerns; the in-home consultation will be concluded and rescheduling of the remaining in-home consultation will not be provided.

Refunds are not available for in-home support packages.

I confirm that I will not share my child’s feeding plan or its content with any third party without Little Bird Lactations permission to do so. By sharing the plan, it may not be in the third party’s best interest for the child as these plans are customised to each child’s needs.
Information we collect
Little Bird Lactation will collect typical personal information including name, address, phone number, email address.
Little Bird Lactation will use your personal information to create an online registration for you, to record and process your package for general communication. Little Bird Lactation does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Emailing tools
Little Bird Lactation will communicate with you by email and may send you Newsletters and other marketing information.
Control of your online credentials
If you have registered online, you are responsible for all actions taken with your username, email address and password. If you choose to share your user name, email address and password or your information with third parties, you are responsible for all actions taken with this information and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use our website. We use cookies to improve the user experience. Cookies are widely used on most major websites. Little Bird Lactation mostly use "session" cookies, which are removed from your computer after you leave Little Bird Lactation. Access and removal of information
